Meeting called to order at 1:35 p.m.

Attendees:Dutch Leonard, Judy Myers, Nancy Gorden, Jean Malkasian,

Stu Lambert, Gordy Cann, Joe Klimasiewfski, Jan Breidster, Jim Breidster

Motion was made by Judy to approve April minutes. Seconded by Stu – unanimous approval

Irrigation:Sunstate is supposed to finish up unfinished issues.

Grass is browning in the development because of the drought.

Dutch is waiting for a proposal for Rainbird scrubber valves for the well pumps – these will purge the filters – presently he is purging the filters manually at least twice a day.

Lakes:Pelican and Egret lakes still have problems. Egret is very smelly. Pelican is somewhat smelly and clogged with algae. Russ Hoffman is getting the algae checked – should have the results next week – and he’ll be in touch with Stu or Mark. Nancy asked what we can do – Stu said keep e-mailing LHM. Also we will invite Russ to a GLIC meeting/workshop.

Grounds:Dutch talked about final 4.5 hr. inspection by Dutch and Stu with Sunstate. Wilhelm will start with a full crew on Monday – an introduction letter from Wilhelm is on the web. Nancy asked how Wilhelm will handle homeowner interference – Wilhelm will refer the homeowner to LHM.

BudgetApprox. $350 has been spent from the $1,000.

Old business:a. Water Variance - The new irrigation schedule put together by Stu and Dutch is finally finished. The next step is to get a variance from Sarasota County to run irrigation in the common areas on Sundays. This is one of the issues to be brought up at a Board/GLIC workshop on June 13th.

b. Lake Banks – The proposal for Bahia grass on the lakebanks of the 3 oldest lakes will also be discussed at the workshop on June 13th

c. Streetscapes – the Copperwood project will be presented at the workshop

d. The two GLIC turnover issues – irrigation clock changes and replacement of invasives will also be presented at the workshop.

New business:•ACR’s – there are 3 new ones – Dutch has them assigned.

•Plant Replacement – Stu read the letter he wrote - this is a proposal that will also be presented at the workshop. There was some discussion on overplanted yards.

•Dutch gave a status report on the new landscaper. The Monday morning homeowner meeting will still take place.

•Street May Reports – Judy gave hers to Dutch

•Gordy asked about removal of fruit trees – Sunstate was supposed to remove them but probably didn’t. Wilhelm will do it and bill the Association – the Association will then bill the homeowner. Stu suggested Todd Gates should be there with Wilhelm when the trees are removed.

Meeting ended at 3 p.m. – next meeting Friday, June 22nd at 1:30 p.m. at First America Bank.

Respectfully submitted by Jean Malkasian, Secretary, GLIC
