An interview with Daniel Bowers, Pro Tect Associates Inc, VP of Operations.
CM: Tell us a little about Pro Tect.
DB: Pro Tect Associates Inc is a family-owned company founded in 1993 and located in Northbrook, Illinois. We are a leading brand in the carpet protection, floor protection and surface protection and dust control throughout the commercial, new homeand remodeling industries. We specialize in temporary products such as jamb and corner protection, carpet protection, hard wood and hard wood stair protection, and chip-free tub and showers. Minimizing clients’ exposure on their punch lists is our number one intent.
CM: What is your goal for the show?
DB: We love to meet new customers and introduce them to our line of products. Being here at the show is fun because we are able to put faces to website orders and phone calls.
CM: What is your company most proud of?
DB: We are a small family business, launched in our basement in 1993for the high-end custom home market. Twenty-five years later, we are ourselves a leading brand in surface, floor, and carpet protection. Finding quality in this day and age can be difficult. We take pride in the fact that to us, price and quality are equal. We do not valueprice over quality. We offer high quality products at excellent prices.
CM: Who are your target customers?
DB: Our main customers include remodelers, new custom homebuilders, commercial builders, residential builders, and hospitals.
CM: How do your products or services help your customers compete in their marketplace?
DM: Our two main products are Pro Tect® Floor Runner, and Pro Tect® Carpet Protection Film. Pro Tect Floor Runner is designed for high-traffic areas and high quality floor surfaces that need extra protection.
