Note: It's a good idea to run Windows Update after moving to the latest build. There may be bug fixes available between build releases.
General
- My Tablet Mode notification is turned off, or prompts for an action.
Tablet mode is set by default to 'Ask' for an action when enabled. You can change the default action for Tablet Mode by clicking on Settings, then System, then Tablet Mode, or you can change the settings when the prompt appears on screen.
Appearance
- Some webpages do not display correctly when viewed in the Microsoft Edge browser.
If a webpage is not displaying correctly in Microsoft Edge, you can view the webpage using Internet Explorer instead. To open a page in Internet Explorer from Microsoft Edge, click the ellipse icon ("..."), then click Open with Internet Explorer.
Applications
- I cannot use the Windows Feedback app. I receive a message stating that I must change Privacy setting to “Full”.
You can opt-in to a Diagnostics data value of "FULL" to enable use of the Windows Feedback app on your Windows 10 device by following these steps:
- Use File Explorer to open this intranet site<insert resource URL>.
- Right-click on this file <insert resource URL>.
- Allow this file to Run As Administrator.
- Your web browser will open to URL <insert resource name and URL>, to allow you to manually the COMPUTER NAME into the FULL TELEMETRY OPT-IN Security Group.
5.After a short delay, your device will automatically update to "FULL" Diagnostics and enable you to use of the Windows Feedback app.
Connectivity
- My corporate credentials are not being accepted when logging in.
Some people might experience an issue in which the username and password boxes either will not appear or will not accept input while logging in (preventing log in). Possible workarounds include doing any of the following actions before attempting to log in again: - clicking the "Switch User" button
- using Ctrl+Alt+Del
- pressing the power button on your PC to sleep/resume
- I see a periodic black screen when trying to log in or unlock.
You will need to perform a hard reboot by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
Error Codes
- I see an error code that says my reserved partition is full and Windows 10 cannot be installed. What should I do?
This partition to store reboot files is required during installation.To resolve this issue, you can run the script using either of the following processes. After running the script, Setup usually starts working again.
- Run this script to clear the partition.The script should be run from an elevated command prompt (the script is locatedhere <insert resource URL>).
- Open an admin command prompt
- Run diskpart.exe (and do the following):
- List vol
- <Look for the volume # for the 350 MB volume>
- Selectvol #
- Assign letter=W
- Exit
- del W:\sources\boot.wim
Installation
- Low disk space is blocking my setup.
