The Lowther Hills Ski Club is run entirely by volunteers. In the course of the year, the Club holds work parties to maintain our equipment or run the ski tows. If you would be willing to attend any work meets or help with the running of the facilities please let us know by ticking the box below.

The Lowther Hills Ski Club is a member of Snowsport Scotland, the National Governing Body for all snowsports in Scotland, and our club activities are covered by their Third Party Liability Insurance. Your details will be passed to Snowsport Scotland for purposes of the club's Liability Insurance. Your information will not be passed on to any other organisation.

The Lowther Hills Ski Club is a non-for-profit club which is run by and on behalf of the members. The Officers, Committee and helpers give their time voluntarily. Whilst every effort is made to maintain as high a standard of equipment as possible, every person who uses the Club equipment does so entirely at the persons' own risk, and has no claim against the Club members, for any injury or damage howsoever occasioned and whether or not in any way whatsoever due to any negligent act and/or omission.

Membership Fees

Thank you for joining the Lowther Hills Ski Club. With your membership fees you are contributing to keeping ski tows running in the South of Scotland, but you also get a great range of benefits:

+ Using the ski tows free of charge every day we open.
+ Discounts on day tickets at other Scottish ski resorts.
+ Discounts from selected suppliers of equipment, clothing, and travel.

Members are informed of how to claim the discounts on payment of their membership fees for the year.

Leadhills and Wanlockhead Membership Fees

These preferential membership rates apply only to local residents in Leadhills and Wanlockhead.

Donations

You can also support the only ski centre in the South of Scotland by donating petrol and diesel, firewood, money, building materials, timber for snow fencing, paint, or used ski equipment. Fuel represents the Club's main item of expenditure. Many members regularly donate petrol and diesel to run the club's ski tows and vehicles. The Club accepts donations of ski or snowboard equipment. We lend these for free to members which don't have their own equipment, particularly children.
