Parameters: This study primarily queried magnet hospitals with a bed size between 400 – 600. Specialty hospitals such as cancer hospitals and university hospitals.

Excluded:Since this study was initiated by St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, California, for comparison purposes, we also included a few hospitals within our system that did not meet these parameters. Additionally, we also included a few California magnet hospitals that did not meet the above bed size.

Parameters:A few hospital libraries met these parameters but did not respond despite repeated efforts to contact them so their results are not represented. Some of the non- respondents may have been affected by the hurricanes.
