MLA Style Citations
BOOKS ~ Single author
Last name, first name & middle initial if provided. Title of book.
Place of publication: Publisher, Date of publication.
Example:
Kriegl, Laura C. Attitude Builds Character. Midland: Scholastic
Publishers, 2001.
~ Multiple authors
Same as single author, just put commas between names and place the 2nd author’s first name 1st then his/her last name followed by a period.
Example:
Kriegl, Laura C., and Sharon Maahs. Attitude Builds Character. Midland:
Scholastic Publishers, 2001.
MAGAZINES ~
Author’s last name, First name(s). “Title of the article.” Title of the magazine day
Month year of publication: page #’s.
Example:
Kriegl, Laura C. “Nurturing Moral values in the Classroom.” Character Times 23 Jan. 2003:
26-27.
NEWSPAPER ARTICLES ~
Author’s last name, author’s first name (& middle initial). “Title of the article.”
Title of the newspaper (city of publication if not in title) day month year,
Edition: page #’s or number+ (if the pages are not in order).
Example:

WEBSITE OR WEB PAGE ~
