Math: We Will Continue Topic 7 Which Is 2 Digit Subtraction with Regrouping Which Will

December4th through December 8th, 2017

Language Arts and Reading: We will continueourSuperkid’s curriculum this week. Topics covered will be words with /oo/ and /ew/. We will also study synonyms, using references and resources, understanding dialogue punctuation, cause and effect and paragraph indentation. We WILLBEhaving a spelling test this week on Friday!

Math: We will continue Topic 7 which is 2 digit subtraction with regrouping which will include, subtracting on a number line and using addition to check subtraction.

Social Studies: For this six weeks our Social Studies concepts will focus on Thanksgiving and Christmas Around the World.

Science: For this six weeks our science concepts will focus on Investigation and Scientific Reasoning.

Health: For this six weeks our health concepts will focus on Systems of the Body and our 5 Senses.

December – 8 – Read all day – Bring a blanket!

December 13 – Green Day – Wear green!

December 14 – 2nd Grade to sing carols at Elkhart Oaks Nursing Home

December 11 – 15 – Santa Store

December 18 – 3rd 6 weeks AR treat for making goal

December 19 – 1st Semester AR party for those who have 35 or more points

December 20 – Christmas Carol sing-a-long for parents at 1:00 in the gym

December 21 – Early release, 1:00

December 22 – Early release, 1:00

December 22 – Christmas party in the classroom at 12:00.

I sent a note home on Thursday asking for items for our Christmas Around the World unit. If you are able, please send these items ASAP! Thank you for your help with this!
