Lyman Orchards Monday Golf League Newsletter July 18th
Weather: Stormy!
If you listened to the weathermen all day you would have thought “Hey no golf tonite”
But, the line of storms broke apart and we had a short delay around 5:25pm.
We put almost everyone back on the course! A few golfers disappeared and went home while we waited it out. All groups finished by 8:30pm
Lightning – Please note for your own safety! When the horn blows you should leave the course immediately. Lighting is not to be taken lightly. Please, next time, make the right decision!
Participation: All good runs eventually come to an end! We suffered our first 2 No Shows last night. To the 94 golfers that still showed up despite the weather alerts, Thank You for your commitment to the league. We used 18 subs this week!
Again I remind everyone to verify with their teammates that your team will be in attendance as we approach the final weeks and points are important to many teams. We want those teams that make the playoffs to have earned those points….

Eagles: We had 3 Eagles last night.
I managed to put three groups off the back of the Player course and two of the eagles were scored on #14 and the other was posted on #8 of the Player. Congrats…..

Sunday September 11th Tee times beginning at 10:00am - 12:00pm
Lyman Orchards Golf Course - Gary Player Course!
Cost:$TBA - per person-Members & Guests
Cost includes golf, cart, range balls and many prizes.
Also includes a Pasta Buffet at the conclusion of your round.
Monday & Thursday League Golfers & Guests
Event: 4 Person Team Event This Tournament is a very unique 3 in 1 challenge. Every 3 holes each player in the foursome will team up with a different partner for a 2 person scramble. Each player will play a total of 6 holes with each of the other players. All scores on each hole will be combined for a team 18 hole total.
Prizes awarded for 18, 9 & 6 hole scores. Many ways to win!
