Notice for Calling of “Expression of Interest” for inclusion of Package Drinking Water in the approved list for selling over Lumding Division.
Divisional Railway Manager (Commercial), Northeast Frontier Railway, Lumding invites “Expression of Interest” from manufacturer of Packaged Drinking Water for, inclusion of more brand Packaged Drinking Water in the approved list for selling catering units at stations over Lumding Division in the states of Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, Manipur & Mizoram.
Objective :- Supply of quality package drinking water to the passengers by the Railway is our duty. With a view to ensure that only good quality of package drinking water BIS is sold in the Railway premises, this Railway is planning to include more brand of Packaged Drinking Water for selling in catering units. Interested manufacturer of Package Drinking Water may apply only to include their product in the approved list for selling in Railway premises and in trains in container size of only 1litre and ½ litre of Lumding Division.
Technical Data :- The Packaged Drinking Water shall be packed in clean, sterile colourless transparent and tamper proof bottle/container made by polyethylene (PE) confirming to IS:10146 or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) conforming to IS:10151 or polyalkylene terephthalate (PET and PBT) conforming to IS:12252 or polypropylene conforming to IS:10910 polycarbonate or sterile glass bottles suitable for preventing possible adulteration or contamination of water. Seals should be tamper proof. All packing materials of plastic origin shall pass the overall migration and colour migration limits as laid down in the relevant Indian Standard for products for respective packaging materials. The following particulars should be marked legibly and indelibly on the label of the bottle/container :-
Brand Name, rate MRP of Rs.15/- for 1 liter & Rs.10/- for ½ liter should be displayed BOLD in atleast two inches box. Name of the Manufacture with address and telephone number, Batch or code No., date of processing/packing, Best for consumption up to ….. (date/month in capital letters) direction for storage, message “CRUSH AFTER USE”.
Eligibility Criterion
· Detail of company profile including source of water.
· Minimum sales turnover per annum – 30 lakhs.
· BIS approved certification subject to verification of original certificate.
· GST certificate No.
· Audited copy of annual sales turnover and company’s registration certificate.
· Public Analyst Report from Govt. Agency.
· Any other documents considering relevant by the Division.

· Priority should be given to the oldest firm and maximum turnover of the company and its Brand value.
· Details of present market/circulation of the brand.
· Railway authority can conduct regular inspection to checks quality of water & PFA. In case of irregularity, Railway will impose fine. Recurrence of irregularity by the manufacturer will liable to delisting from the approved list.
· Original/OEM Certificate.
· FSSI Certificate.
HOW TO EXPRESS INTEREST
Interested parties / manufacturer are requested to submit Expression of Interest along with detail particulars as per eligibility criterion in sealed cover superscripted “Expression of Interest” to Divisional Railway Manager /Commercial, Lumding, N.F. Railway within 21 days from the date of publication for considering their Brand for inclusion in the approved list of Package Drinking Water.
Participation in EOI does not confer any right to the participating parties for inclusion of their brand product in the approved list of Packaged Drinking Water.
