General Information /
  • Make-up work – It is the student’s responsibility to check the blog and “missed work” folder absent. The student will have the number of days absent plus one to complete and return any work that was missed.
  • Non-graded tasks: There will be times when students are asked to complete a task to help prepare for current or future lessons. These tasks will go into Synergy as a non-graded assignment. These tasks are important to help prepare students for a standard that will be assessed during the course of a unit.
  • Blog: The blog contains daily communications and provides access to most of the materials used in class. Please check this tool often, especially when absent from school. The blog can be accessed through the Lovinggood homepage and then selecting “Faculty & Staff.” Homework- While a separate homework assignment is sometimes given, it is more often an extension of the day’s lesson. It is the expectation of all students that any work not completed in class, is finished at home.
  • Communication through Remind: Information has been sent home with your student about Remind which is an automated text/email service that will remind parents and students about upcoming assessments and important information.
  • Behavior- Behavior marks are recorded in Synergy to keep parents informed. Each mark will be accompanied by a comment from the teacher. For this non-graded category a zero indicates that the student has not had any behavioral issues.

Requirements / Students are expected to bring the following materials to class everyday: agenda, 3-ring binder, flash drive or permission to use Office 365, paper, pencils, pens, pencil sharpener, and colored pencilsenclosed in zippered pouch.
