Mission Statement

St. John’s Lutheran School, an educational arm of St. John’s Lutheran Church, assists the congregation in accomplishing its mission of Connecting, Caring, and Sharing in Christ.

Education, Training, Experience:

Required:

  • LCMS Rostered or Eligible for Roster.
  • Wisconsin Teaching License (or certifiable by the Wisconsin DPIat the Early Childhood Level.
  • Experience working with children.

Desired:

  • Experience in teaching.
  • Trained in literacy development and reading instruction.

  • Maintain positive relationships with all members of the Ministry Staff and follow the spirit of Matthew 5 and 18 to resolve differences.
  • Actively promote and live the mission statement of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
  • Attend staff devotions, meetings and special functions as determined necessary by the administrator.
  • Arrive at school no later than 30 minutes before the start of school and remain at least 30

minutes after the end of school each day.

  • Fulfill duties that would be generally expected of all St. John’s Lutheran Ministry Staff and many duties specific to a teacher.**

**(Examples may include: Full staff meetings, children’s messages (occasional), Drop off or Pick up supervision, special meetings, etc)

  • Attend Congregational Meetings of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
  • Participate in regular Bible Study.
  • Participate in volunteer ministry.
  • Participate in the social and fellowship activities at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
