Final year project
Topic: Designing and Implementing a Portable Standalone & Remote Weather Station (PSRWS)(Leader)
The aim of the project was to design and implement a PSRWS. It had portability and re-separating the parts (portable), station power supplying using tracking solar cells (standalone), remotely location in any place (remote), and reducing the cost of constructed materials. It could measure several weather conditions: temperature, pressure, humidity, precipitation, and wind speed and direction.
The PSRWS was designed to store the data of the weather conditions in a SD- Card. It was programmed to read the weather factors in certain time that users can set by LCD and keypad. The data stored would be interfaced with full details in Graphical User Interface (GUI) software program in graphs and charts using computer. By this features, the project can be located in remote location- where no power grid- for months or years.

Other projects

·  CNC for PCB Design Project (leader): CNC for PCB (Computer Numerically Controlled for Printed Circuit Board) was designed to build and interface an old DOS operated CNC machine with computer in order to make it fully compatible with windows API application. The machine can drill a given diagram in a board where the diagram is provided by the user through filling a table (X, Y, Z axis) in an installed software. Visual basic software program and 3 stepper motors were used.

·  IEEE-Robot project (leader): The aim of this project was to design and implement a robot which can talk about IEEE-student branch, its goals and activities. The user can choose what he/she wants to know, exactly, through a key pad.

·  Battery charge controller (leader): the aim was to design and test a battery charge controller system for ECHO house using power relays and static switches.

·  Moon Eye project (leader): The goal of this project was to design and implement a machine that can track the position of the moon. GPS, microcontroller (Atmega8) and two stepper motors were used.

·  Easy Life for handicapped project: The aim of this project was to make a system so that disabled people can use their sound to switch on and off the house electric device. Microphone and microcontroller (Atmega8).

·  Auto Heater project (leader): The idea of this project was to build a system so that the user can decide how much the heater should operate after boiling point, then the heater will switch off automatically. Temperature Sensor and Microcontroller were used.

·  Mini project in PLC (leader): the project was to design and test a PLC program for Production Company.
