Update on Library Activities:

  • Mother Goose (ages 2 & under) and Grown Up Goose (ages 3 – 7) story times are on Wednesdays and 10:00 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. Children plus a parent, grandparent, or adult caregiver are welcome to join us in for stories, songs, finger plays and much more.
  • Looking for some Nursery Rhymes at night time? Join us for Mother Goose @ Night, the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Infants and toddlers, along with their adult caregivers, will enjoy an interactive story time with music, action rhymes, and pre-reading activities that stimulate the brain in a fun, enjoyable way. Mother Goose is free and open to the public. No pre-registration is required – just come.
  • Coding Club is being offered ages 12 & under on Monday, November 6th from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. This is a monthly after-school program where tweens can learn computer skills in a friendly, guided environment. Participants will practice coding, logic, program design, problem solving, and robotics with fun, hands on activities.
  • Friends of the Library will be meeting on Monday, November 6th at 5:30 p.m.
  • Free assistance is being offered to help individuals sign up or review Medicare Part D (prescriptions). A Medicare Assistance Program Volunteer will be on hand to walk you through the plan finder tool to make sure you are getting the best option available. Tuesday, November 7 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • During the month of November Write Nite will meet every Tuesday at 6 – 8:30 p.m. This is National Novel Writing Month & participants will have the opportunity to work on their books & communicate with others about their projects. Teens ages 12-17 are also welcome to participate. These events are geared towards pushing writers to complete as much work as possible during the month of November.
  • Teen Night - Pop & Pallet- Whether you’re a skilled artist or a day dreaming doodler, let us walk you through a beautiful painting as you sip on your favorite soda. Make sure to wear the right clothes for painting! This class is Thursday, November 9 at 6:30 p.m.
  • The library will be closed on Friday, November 10 in observance of Veterans Day.
  • Family Event: Mummy Escape Room - On Nov. 11. “Curse of the Mummy”- Follow the clues & solve the mystery before time runs out! Recommended for groups of 2-6 people, ages 8 & up. Register to reserve a time slot at mustangpubliclibrary.eventbrite.com.1-4 p.m.
  • Tween Creation Studio - Join us every 2nd Monday of the month, from 4:30 pm - 6 pm, for an Arts & Crafts program for ages 9-12. Each month we will explore a different art project. All supplies are provided and the program is free to attend. Limited registration is available, please register at mustangpubliclibrary.eventbrite.com
  • Family Night Out - Come and go as you please, for our new family night out. Play themed games, create fun crafts, and enjoy family time for free at the library. From 5-7 pm at the Mustang Public Library on the 3rd Thursday of each month. No registration is required.

Friends of the Library:

  • Next meeting is Monday, January 8, 2018 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, December 1st there will be a dinner theater fundraiser in conjunction with Emily Farnham and the Mustang High School Drama Club. Tickets will be $30.00 each.
