Lead Visual Analytics Research Engineer

PCI is actively interviewing candidates for several exciting new positions supporting our government customer on our Prime contract supporting the Fort Meade Agency’s Research Directorate.

Scope/Description of Work:

The Visual Analytics team in the Scalable Analytics Research Organization (R62) of the Computer and Analytic Science Research Group (R6) requires contractor support to perform research and development in the areas of visualization, visual analytics, advanced interaction technology, mixed initiative analysis, and dynamic defense.

Required Qualifications

• Ten (10) years’ experience using a Java development environment and ecosystem.

• Two (2) years’ experience leading a team of five (5) or more software developers including allocating developer tasks, managing team resources, ensuring code quality, and reporting regularly on team status, resulting in one or more successful customer demonstrations and customer acceptance of a team developed capability.

• Two (2) years’ experience defining, architecting, and designing a multi-layered complex system.

• Two (2) years’ experience integrating a diverse set of COTS and the latest open-source software including Accumulo, MongoDB, Redis, MapReduce, Elasticsearch, Tomcat, Nginx, Kafka, and Infosphere Streams into a functional system.

• Two (2) years’ experience designing, developing, debugging, tuning, and evaluation complex analytics and system components.

• Two (2) years’ experience with Maven, Git, Eclipse, JIRA, and Jenkins.

• Three (3) years’ experience working with a team of cross contract and cross organization members.

• Three (3) years’ experience developing documentation, recommendations, and briefing materials and presenting the same.

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience integrating a diverse set of GOTS software and enterprise services including JEMA, CASPORT, PKI, Mission WebSpace (MWS), MACHINESHOP, and MDR1/MDR2.

• Demonstrated experience developing capabilities directly related to NSA data feed processing, the intelligence analysis process, analyst-to-system interactions, and NSA’s current analysis tool suite and infrastructure.

• Demonstrated experience developing and integrating visualization analytics, streaming and at-rest data processing analytics, information and knowledge level analytics, data parsing and ingest capabilities, storage and retrieval services, workflow and analytic management mechanisms, user interface capabilities, ontology related services, and/or various enabling services and interfaces.
