Kindergarten Farm Excursion
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
As you know we have organised an excursion to Oakdale Farm and Fauna World at Salt Ash. Here is a more comprehensive list of information about the excursion and what the children will need for the day. (Please feel free to check out their website on www.oakdalefarm.com.au )
Activities:- *Bottle feeding and patting animals ( This includes various baby farm animals in the Farmyard Nursery as well as koalas and free-range kangaroos)
*Observing over 150 different kinds of animals including camels, donkeys, emus, deer, water buffalos, Highland and Longhorn cows and Miniature ponies
*Cow milking *Free tractor and trailer rides around the park
*Duck and Pelican feeding
Date:- Monday 10th September
Transport:- Coach fitted with seat belts.
Departure time:-Coach will be leaving 8.30am. Please make sure your child is at school at least 15 minutes before. We will not be able to wait for anyone who is late as we have a full itinerary.
Returning back to school:-Approximately 2.30. We hope to be back to school before the school buses arrive, but it wouldn’t hurt to make alternative arrangements to pick up your child in case we get held up.
Parents or older brothers or sisters will need to pick them up as we can not let them walk home alone.
Clothing:-Children are required to wear full school uniform and comfortable walking shoes. All children will need to wear a hat and sunscreen. Children who do not have closed in shoes will not be permitted into the
park.
Food requirements:-Children will need to bring their school bag, with a drink and healthy food for recess and lunch (sandwiches, cheese, crackers, vegetable sticks, fruit)
Medication:-Parents with children who get car sick need to talk to their child’s teacher. Also consider allergies as we will be touching animals. Hand washing facilities are available for use. Children who take medication at school will need it given to the teacher in a clearly labelled envelope.
Payment:-Full payment of $30.00 and permission note is required at the office money window before school by Friday 8th September.
Behaviour:- It is expected that children who attend a school excursion are on their best behaviour at all times. This means that children are expected to speak nicely to others, keep their hands and feet to themselves and do what the teacher says straight away. If children can not do this at school they will not be invited to attend this excursion.
Please return the permission slip, medical information and money as soon as possible to school.

to attend the Kindergarten excursion to Oakdale Farm and Fauna World at Salt Ash on Monday 10th September 2012. I understand travel is by coach and the cost is $30.00. I understand the excursion involves a lot of walking. I understand that in order to attend the excursion my child’s behaviour needs to be acceptable and safe towards other children and teachers.
