Early Childhood Program

Caregiver and Child: Ages 1-3

Bring the “wee” ones! Let us help nurture and develop your child’s fine and gross motor skills as well as introduce them to social interaction skills. This class introduces a child to the gymnastics environment: a safe place to practice and develop new found abilities. Climbing, rolling, hanging, jumping, running, new faces, new colors, new sights and sounds to discover and explore all with the safety of someone familiar nearby to enjoy and take part in the new discoveries experienced. So many changes take place in a child’s development at this time. They all develop at differentrates and go through stages differently. Don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t go well at first or if your little one hits a bump in the road. Be patient! They are learning and growing rapidlyand we understand. This is a time of exploration and discovery.

Kids Progressive: Ages 3-5

This is a stage of new found confidence!Your child is beginning to enjoy their physical independence while testing out new skills of agility. Here at JAG, we provide a safe environment and instruction to assist your child in developing their fine and gross motor skills while introducing them to social skills as they learn to interact with their peers in a positive manner. Your children will also learn to take instruction and follow directions from another adult rather than a familiar caregiver. Activities include Vault, Bars, Balance Beam, Trampoline, and Tumbling. There is an 8:1 student to instructor ratio for this class.

Hot Shots: Ages 4-5

Hot Shots is an invitational class for our 4 and 5 year old students who have displayed a natural ability as well as strong physical traits for the sport of gymnastics. Hot Shots is designed to provide an evaluation period for both parents and coaches regarding the fit of an athlete for the competitive track of gymnastics. It is more technical than the recreational equivalent; however, it allows families to test the waters of the competitive structure in a 90 minute class, once a week. While it is not required, Hot Shots members are encouraged to make an academic year’s commitment to the program as it feeds into our Junior Olympic Team. Upon reaching 6 years of age, students are evaluated for placement on either our Pre-Team or Junior Olympic Level 3 Team. Depending on the student’s skill level, they may skip Pre-Team and advance directly into our Junior Olympic Team Program. The cost for our Hot Shots Program is figured into monthly payments covering classes from month to month.
