iPad Announcement

Tomorrow is the deadline for all students to pay their iPad fees. Beginning Monday, students with unpaid fees will have their iPads taken up.

Picture Day Announcement

Picture Day will take place on Monday, September 18, during second period. The photographer will stay until halfway through fourth period to ensure that you everyone has an opportunity to have their photo made. Make sure to dress nicely and smile pretty!

ID Announcement

If you received a green temporary ID, you may go to the library DURING BLOCK LUNCH this week to exchange it for a temporary ID CARD. This week ONLY!

Block Lunch Announcement

Corner stairs are closed during block lunch. Please use the main stairs only

If you are going out to the soccer club, please exit through the main back doors only.

AVID Announcement

Tomorrow is the last day to purchase an In-N-Out burger ticket during block lunch. For $5 you get a burger, chips and a drink. Grab a meal with your family before Open house on Monday.

Open Gym Announcement

Today during block-lunch we will have basketball during open gym. Please come join us and remember that food and drink are not permitted at any time.

NHS Announcement

There will be an informational meeting for NHS on Friday, September 29, during A block in the Lecture Hall. Information will be provided about applications, service hour requirements, and qualifications.

Skyward Forms Announcement

If you received a letter last week that you had not completed your Skyward forms, you only have until Friday (Sept. 15) to get them completed.The computer lab (Rm 116) will be open during block lunch today and tomorrow to get these forms completed and have your name checked off. Please make this a priority and get it done.

StuCo Announcements

-Collections for Hurricane Harvey victims may be brought to room 226 or given to student council officers. We will collect until September 21st and deliver on the 23rd. Thanks so much for your assistance!

-Homecoming is around the corner, so order your Homecoming Tshirt now!

Forms are available outside room 226. T-shirts are $10 before the deadline of September 22 and $15 after.

-Varsity football has an away game at the McKinney Boyd Ron Poe stadium starting at 7pm!

-The U.S. is the #1 trash producing country in the world, which means 5% of the worlds people generate 40% of the worlds waste

-Thank you to those of you that participated in today’s Throwback Thursday! Also, big thanks to Student Council members that made our first meeting yesterday, as well as those that helped at the workday! If you haven't joined yet, it's not too late! Bring your completed application and dues to our meeting next week!

Latin Dance Club Announcement

The Latin Dance Culture Club meets Fridays during B-Block in the Learning Lounge with Ms. Lerwick. Come and enjoy some salsa, bachata, cumbias and other Latin music. Dancing is welcomed.

PSAT Club Announcement

This is a reminder that PSAT CLUB will have its first meeting TODAY during A-block in Room 130. There were over 60 people who signed up so come early to guarantee a seat. Bring your iPad fully charged! There will be a limited number of computers available for those who need to borrow technology.

Liliana Tachiquin recognized by Ms. C. Rodriguez for helpfulness and leadership. “Since day 1 in AVID, I had bell-ringers that students find their seat by getting in a certain order. Without asking she leads the class and organizes them in the order directed.”

Kris Palmer recognized by Ms. Russell. “Kristopher is very attentive in class, shares his knowledge and participates. He was the first to volunteer to help me clean up our 1st demo lab.”

Kirk Trevino recognized by Ms. Allen. “Kirk never complained when he did not get as long of a free time break as the other students.”
