INNOVATIVE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

PROGRAM CATEGORY

The Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation promotes Active and Healthy lifestyles in education communities across Queensland. ACHPER QLD’s annual Women in Sport Breakfast aims to celebrate female sporting achievements and inspire the next generation to get active.

ACHPER QLD invites schools to submit a 30 – 90 second video that showcases an Innovative Physical Activity Program that gets girls active at their school. All videos submitted become part of the #activegirlsinschool Video Competition. The winning school will be awarded a trophy and a $1,000 bursary from the Queensland Government at the 2017 Women in Sport Breakfast.

HOW TO ENTER

·  Shoot a video of between 30 seconds and 90 seconds in length about an innovative program at your school that gets girls active.

·  The video must explain what the program is, how many girls participated, how it was innovative and what the outcome of the program was.

·  Upload the video to YouTube

·  Use the hashtag #activegirlsinschool in the video’s title or description when uploading to YouTube

·  Email with the YouTube link and the completed Entry Form to be part of the competition

·  The Entry Form must detail the following:

o  what the program is

o  how is it innovative

o  how many girls participated (or community members if participating as well)

o  the outcome of the program

·  Entries open on Monday 17 July 2017

·  Entries close on Friday 15 September 2017

·  Three finalists will be announced on Tuesday 3 October 2017

·  The winning school will be announced at the Women in Sport Breakfast on Wednesday 25 October 2017

AGREEMENT WITH CONDITIONS OF ENTRY FOR INNOVATIVE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROGRAM VIDEO COMPETITION:

  1. Only those Entry Forms that are fully completed will be considered.
  1. All YouTube videos must have the hashtag #activegirlsinshoool in the title or description.
  1. Entry forms must be endorsed by the Principal of the school.
  1. As videos are to be loaded on to YouTube the school must follow their own policies around image sharing of students on social media.

5.  It is strongly recommended that your video contains original content and you have approval / permission to useany copyright materials (such as music, video logos or images).

  1. ACHPER QLD and the Queensland Government may use the video in their promotional campaigns. Therefore, the school must have received permission from all people who are shown in the video that their images can be shared.
  1. The signature of the Principal is endorsement that Conditions 4 and 5 have been met.
