Book Talk Instructions

1.Face your audience and speak so everyone can hear you.

2.Show the class the front cover of your book. Don’t cover your face with the book.

3.Tell the title, author, and illustrator of the book.

4.Tell the class what the story is mostly about. (Include what the main character did in the story)

5.Tell the class why you liked the book and why you think the class should read it. You also need to tell the class why the story is realistic fiction.

6.When you talk about your book try to tell the class about your book without reading word for word from your sheet. Refer to the sheet to help you remember what you want to say to the class.
