**Hope to have all my documents in regards to It’s A CATastic Camp 2014 within the next couple of weeks. I am waiting on the artwork for the T-shirt and flyer from Robert and Karin. Ricki should have the lesson plans completed soon as well. Once I have it all together, we will submit to Vicky for approval and work out any details at that time.

I still have a need for a list of projects that can be done by scouts. I have individual scouts contact me as well as groups. I would love to have a list of options. I still keep pushing the fact that we need a ceiling in our commissary and Vicky’s office. However, I haven’t had any takers on that yet.

MEDIA REPORT

·  Newsletter: ·Waiting for ‘14 event schedule. We have roughly 5600 general

·  End of Year Solicitation: Sent out 12/31; raised $5,000

·  Press Releases: Turkey Toss (Ch 11), Bake sale (Ch. 11), Vet Clinic (Ch. 5 used the photo of Kahn for their caption contest). ·We will not be doing one for the new cougars.

Media for New Tigers: Would like to do HUGE media push, including talk shows, local and national media, press conference, magazines, the whole works. I emailed Barry to see if he was interested in filming/editing the “re-homing.” If he is unable or not interested, we will approach an ISE volunteer to do the videography. I have also contacted Ray from CCBW and asked for a media contact on their end, so we can do this together. I’d like to host a press conference for the day they arrive (or at least the day after).

Television/Radio: Didn’t hear any feedback on the Ellen letter from Oct; but it’s a moot point now; Ellen will be included with the big media push next month.

• Advertising/Marketing:

Ad Pages contacted us. Once we have a list of events, we’ll decide which to advertise. They give us a pretty good rate. Any other advertising you want to plan for this year?

Anyone familiar with VOCUS? I have spoken with representatives briefly. It’s cloud-based marketing software. It handles emails, press releases, tracks leads, social media promotion, etc. (HSUS uses them) I like it, but it’s too expensive for us ($500+/mo.). Have any of you in the business world heard of similar software that may be more affordable?

• Booths/Public Relations:

Dec 7: Merry Main Street was cancelled

Nov/Dec: Barnes & Noble giftwrapping: raised $427.01

Feb 28-Mar2: North Texas Irish Festival. This year’s theme is Dogs!

o  If we get a double spot it will cost $400 but we will have more room to sell. All voted to go for the double spot

April 26-27: Earth Day Texas; Lanny is looking for a sponsor, but I’m sure he’ll give us a good deal even without a sponsor. He loves us!

July 11-13: Taste of Dallas

• AZA Strategic Plan. We probably need to get back on this, right?

• Meeting with Pepsi Scheduled for Saturday at 3. (HT, CR, LW, JP?)

• Camp Diggy Bone How should we help them?
