The 2010 HKUAA Golf Tournament –Intervarsity Golf Competition Qualifying Round
You are cordially invited to join us in the last event of the 2010 HKUAA Golf Tournament, to be held on Sunday, 10thOctober 2010.
Date: Sunday, 10th October 2010
Venue: PalmIsland Resort
Tee-off Time: 10:30 am
Score: New New Peoria
Prize: Gross Champion, Net Champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up, Longest Drive, Nearest to the Pin
Entry fee: HK$1,250 Per PAX
-1 x 18 holes green fee, locker,shared golf cart, lunch
-Souvenir and prizes, lucky draw
Note: Please arrange your own transportation. In case you want to take the through-van provided by PalmIsland, please book in advance (refer to the attached service schedule).
Scoring System:
The net champion will be awarded to the player scored the lowest net score determined by the New New Peoria Scoring System, in which the 12 holes (6 holes from front nine and 6 from back nine) used in the system to calculate the handicap index will be randomly drawnduring the prize presentation ceremony.
Count back:
In the event of a tie, the champion shall be decided by matching scorecards as follows:
Last 9 Holes Full Handicap
Last 6 Holes Full Handicap
Last 3 holes Full Handicap
Last Hole Full handicap
Hole to hole from 18thholeFull handicap
In the unlikely event that this system does not produce a winner, a tie will be declared.
If the same player wins the gross and net champion, he/she will become the gross champion only.
Automatic Qualification for 2010 Intervarsity Competition
In previous years, players representing HKUAA to participate the Intervarsity Competition against CUHK alumni are all picked by our captain, Dicky Lam. This year, an automatic qualification system is introducted to the Intervarsity Golf Competition Qualifying Round. Those players who finish in the top 10 (gross score) or have a gross score of equal to/ lower than 92 in the Qualifying Round would receive automatic qualification for the coming 2010 Intervarsity Competition.
Points Awarded for the 2010 HKUAA Golf Tournament
Players will earn points according to their final Gross/ Netposition, which will be used to determine the Gross/ Net Champion of the 2010 HKUAA Golf Tournament, named the President Cup as all trophies are kindly sponsored by the President of HKUAA.
The following tableshows the point scoring system for this event, which is applicable to both gross/ net score. Players tied for the same position will equally share the total points awarded to the original position(s).

In case two/ more than two players have the same accumulated points based on gross (net) score, the player with the most points earned in the Intervarsity Golf Competition Qualifying Round will be the Gross (Net) Champion of the Tournament.
If the same player wins the gross and net champion of the Tournament, he/ she will only be awarded the gross champion.
Members who wish to participate in competition can send a reply email to Ms Cherrie ().Members who do not wish to participate in competition can sign up just for leisure play. Confirmation of entry will be given on first-come-first-served basis (after payment is made). More detail information will be circulated upon confirmation.
