Player-CoachCommunication

When a player or parent has questions or concerns regarding the program or a player’s role in the program, it is important to keep in mind the following communication process. This process will provide an effective and efficient progression, focused on solving any problems that may develop throughout the season. Please do not attempt to speak with a coach before or after a match. These can be emotional times and meetings of this nature do not promote resolution. This type of communication is best done before or after a practice session.

Step 1: The concerned player should approach her immediate head coach to discuss her questions or concerns. If the player does not feel comfortable and satisfied with the outcome of the discussion, please move on to step 2

Step 2: The concerned player should request a meeting involving herself, her immediate head coach and the Varsity coach. If the player does not feel comfortable and satisfied with the outcome of this meeting, please move to step 3

Step 3: A meeting involving the concerned player, the necessary soccer coaches, and parent(s)/guardian(s) should be requested. If this meeting does not resolve the situation, the player should move to step 4

Step 4: A meeting should be requested involving the player, appropriate coaches, parent(s)/guardian(s), and the Athletic Director.
