STUDENT and COMMUNITY EXHIBITIONS
GUIDELINES
1) There will be one contact person to communicate with the Educator- Student/Community Exhibitions. This person will be in charge of formatting each submission, and corresponding with the Educator- Student/Community Exhibitions regarding any questions or concerns about the program.
2)All entries need to be display-ready. All two-dimensional work needs to be framed, including the framing hardware; matting is optional. It is the responsibility of the school/group to prepare all entries. The Crocker Art Museum may be able to provide a limited number of pedestals for three-dimensional work. Any need for pedestals needs to be arranged with the Educator- Student/Community Exhibitions prior to the exhibition. Submissions not display-ready will not be accepted as part of the exhibition.
3) All exhibitions require a release form from each participating artist to be signed and returned to the Educator- Student/Community Exhibitionson the specified date. Use the attached release form to make copies for each artist participating. Submissions without a signed consent form will not be accepted as part of the exhibition.
4)All two-dimensional or three-dimensional pieces need to be digitally photographed (high resolution) and copied to a flashdrive and dropped off or mailed to: Educator- Student/Community Exhibitions at 216 O Street Sacramento, CA 95814. All pieces need to be organized on the flashdrive in file folders by artist name. Each folder must contain the piece and label information (see guideline 6). All pieces will need to be submitted at the same time.

5) If you are going to submit an animation, short film, or digital media piece, please let the Educator-Student/Community Exhibitions know what equipment will be used for display.
6) Label Information:
INCLUDE THE NAME AND TITLE ON THE BACK OF EACH ARTWORK.ALL PIECES MUST ALSO INCLUDE A TYPED LABEL IN WORD DOCUMENT FORMAT (NOT A SPREADSHEET) FOR EACH SUBMISSION WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
- Artist Name
- Title of artwork
- Date
- Medium
- School/Organization and Grade Level
- Written statement (one paragraph maximum). This can expand on the inspiration for the work, the exhibition theme, the process, or any other information the artist would like to include.
AGREEMENT
This form will act as the agreement between your school site/organization and the Crocker Art Museum. All agreements must be signed and returned by the specified date listed below. Any late agreements and/or submissions will not be accepted, unless arranged with the Educator- Student/Community Exhibitions in advance.

- I agree to ALL the listed guidelines and dates, and understand that if one of these is not met on time and/or with the proper specifications, the submissions may not be included in the exhibition program, and my school site/organization may default our allotted exhibition period.
- I understand the Crocker Art Museum has the right to include and exclude any submissions it sees fit.
- The Museum’s staff or Board of Trustees cannot be held liable for personal injury or loss, theft, or damage of personal property. In consideration of being permitted to participate in Crocker Art Museum programs, I agree to assume all risks connected therewith. I agree to release and discharge in advance the Crocker Art Museum, its officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for personal injury.
- I agree to have photographs, films, videotapes or tape recordings taken of me or the minor children registered under my signature while participating in the Crocker Art Museum programs. I permit these photographs, films or tapes to be released to be used in publications, promotional materials, web site, and for other purposes by the Crocker Art Museum.
