Research and Grants
Research in progress
I have collected data from pre-service students at Metropolitan State University of Denver(2005-2014) for an action research study with the Englewood partner schools in Englewood, Colorado. The data includes reflections, reactions to school, site based methods courses and field experiences in the Englewood School District.I am working on the literature review and the qualitative and quantitative results are being tabulated. (in progress)
I gave a survey to 35 Albanian teachers in the summer of 2008 concerning perspectives on the advantages and disadvantages of multi-age and grade teaching. Tabulated qualitative results and submitted a paper from this in 2009. (completed)
Grants, written, funded
I secured outside funding from a private donor of approximately $7,000. This funded five members of the delegation from the University of Shkodra that came to visit MSU Denver in April 2010. (funded)
I wrote a letter to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and received free and reduced admissions for the MSU Denver students for field visits to the DMNS for 2005 – 2008. (funded).
