In 1986, the Volleyball Festival became an all-girls tournament, with 190 teams playing at UC Davis and the surrounding area. The tournament continued to grow over the years. The expansion of the Sacramento Convention Center and utilization of Cal Expo allowed the number of teams to grow to over 900 and marked the beginning of a new era for The Volleyball Festival.
In 2004, the Festival moved to Reno, Nevada to take advantage of a newly enlarged Convention Center that held 75 courts and reduced the number of playing venues to only three. After five years in Reno, the Festival moved the event to the newly expanded Phoenix Convention Center in 2009. This beautiful facility allows the Festival to utilize 107 courts in one location with hotel and university dormitory space in the immediate neighborhood.
Thisevent has become an attractive annual event for teams of all levels and college recruiters culminating our club volleyball season.
The following information is to help make your experience a lot easier. I have enclosed admission information as well as parking (including a map).
We are scheduled to practice at the Convention Center on Wednesday the 28th at 5 pm. , at the lower level court area.
Due to difficult parking, traffic situations, and your work schedules, we strongly advise you to set up a carpool with other team members. They need to be there prior to 5pm for their practice session and pick up should be after 8 pm. You are more than welcome to attend the “Welcome Party” (there is an admission charge for this event)
Any players needing a ride for practice or has room in their vehicles for other team members shouldnotify your Coach or contact me at 480-215-6075 ASAP!

PRACTICE COURT TIME for ALL Molten VBC Teams:
Wednesday, June 28 Time: 5pm – 6pm
Lower Level Exhibit Halls at the Phoenix Convention Center. Practice slots are 45 minutes.
Meet at 5 pm (15 min prior to your scheduled time)at the Lower Level Exhibit Hall Tournament Desk, for team practice court assignments.
Immediately after our practice session, they can attend the “Welcome Party”

The Out of this World Welcome Party is in the Lower Halls at the Phoenix Convention Center. Tickets can be purchased Tuesday or Wednesday, June 27-28 at the Phoenix Convention Center Box Office at the below prices:
$10 Adults, Children 6-12 years old, Seniors 62 and older and active military
$8 Pre-buy online HERE through June 25
Kids 4-13 can use the Kids Zone for FREE during the party
*** PLAYERS & COACHES MUST HAVE THEIR CREDENTIALS FOR ADMISSION ***
No credit card fees are assessed on ticket window transactions.
