*MAST reserves the right to adjust the start times based on the number of entries received.

FACILITIES: The Milford High School Natatorium is 25-yard pool with 6 lanes. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The depth is 12' at the deep end and 4' at the shallow end. The copy of certification is on file with USA Swimming.

ENTRIES: Entries will be accepted beginning on Thursday, October 1 at 12:00pm and must be received no later than 12:00pm on Monday, October 12, 2015. We encourage HYTEK entries. All hand written entries must use the enclosed Entry Sheet. All entries must include the Team Entry Summary Sheet and Team Certification Form. A check for all fees, made payable to Milford Area Swim Team, must accompany your entry. Entry fees will not be returned unless your entry is closed out of the meet.

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA: In the event of unusually heavy entries, MAST will determine acceptance into this meet using the following criteria: (1) Participation in previous MAST meets; (2) Events per swimmer ratio; and (3) Number of Officials volunteering.

ELIGIBILITY: All swimmers must be current members of USA Swimming. Registration numbers and swimmer age must be included with entries. USA Swimming Membership applications will not be accepted at this meet.

ENTRY LIMITS: All swimmers are limited to entering 5 individual events per day plus 2 relay events. If necessary to keep sessions under 4 hours, events 200 or longer will be limited to the top 12 athletes. MAST reserves the right not to exclude any MAST swimmers.

MIXED RELAY RULES: Each team is limited to an 'A' and 'B' mixed relay per age group. Mixed relays will be comprised of 2 female and 2 male swimmers and can be swum in any order.

ENTRY FEES: $4.00 per individual event

$8.00 per relay event

$2.00 surcharge per swimmer

DECK ENTRIES: Deck entries will be accepted only if the meet has not closed. Deck entries will close 45 minutes before each session begins. MAST reserves the right to deck enter their swimmers.

RULES: Age on the first day of the meet will determine eligibility for age divisions. Current USA Swimming rules will govern the meet. Swimmers in the age group events must compete in their age group. Swimmers of any age may compete in the Open events.

Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms.

Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited.

Ohio Swimming welcomes swimmers with a disability. Coaches/club entry contact should (1) enter the swimmer on Hy-Tek or the paper entry form; (2) Provide advance notice of any necessary accommodations; (3) List in the email with the Hy-Tek entry (or on paper) the swimmer’s name, entry times, strokes/distances, days/sessions. Preferred seeding is with the swimmer’s same age group in either the same distance race or a longer distance race (i.e., 50 free during the 100 free). Exceptions to this should be listed in “necessary accommodations”

Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

It is understood and agreed that USA Swimming shall be free from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event.

AWARDS: Individual Events – Ribbons 1st to 12th

Although competing together, swimmers will be awarded ribbons and scored separately using the following age groups 6& Under, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 & Over

SCORING: Individual Events – 16, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Relay Events – 32, 26, 24, 22, 20, 18, 14, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2

FINAL RESULTS: Free to each team. Results will be emailed to each team.

SAFETY: Ohio Safety guidelines will be enforced in the conduct of the meet as well as warm ups. General warm-up procedures require swimmers to enter the pool feet first in a cautious manner, with one hand on the deck.

FLY OVER STARTS: If necessary to keep sessions under 4 hours, fly over starts may be used.

CONCESSIONS: A full concession stand will be running during most sessions of the meet.

HEAT SHEETS: $8.00 for the full meet

CLERK OF COURSE: No clerk of course will be available.

MEET SEATING: Milford High School has a seating capacity for over 400 spectators. USA Swimming rules require all personnel on the pool deck to be meet participants, meet workers, or coaches. No spectators will be allowed on the office side of the pool deck.

PSYCH SHEET: The psych sheet will be posted on www.milfordswimming.org by Monday, October 19, 2015.

WARM-UP ASSIGNMENTS: The warm-up assignments will be posted on www.milfordswimming.org by Monday, October 19, 2015.

COACHES: All coaches must sign in for each session and present a current USA Swimming membership card upon signing in. This card must be worn while the coaches are on the pool deck. Ohio Swimming requires the MAST to enforce this rule. MAST is happy to provide a Coaches Hospitality Area at our meets. Please indicate the number of coaches that will be attending the meet with you on the Entry Summary sheet so that we can provide heat sheets for everyone.

OFFICIALS: The Milford Area Swim Team will need the help of your USA Swimming Officials. Please contact Martin Martinez at to provide names of your officials who wish to volunteer.

DIRECTIONS: From I-275, take exit 57 (Blanchester/Milford) and to east onto Rt. 28. Take the 28 by-pass and take the first exit (Wolfpen/Pleasant Hill Road) turn right (South). Go to the second stop light and turn right onto Eagles Way. Follow Eagles Way to the three way stop sign and turn left into the main parking lot. Enter the pool through the main doors by the flag pole.
