Getting started

Removing the battery

When the phone is switched off, unscrew the two screws located on the bottom two corners of the battery cover, which is on the back of the phone. Turn the screws anti-clockwise to release. The battery cover will become loose and can be lifted off the phone and placed down next to you (be careful not to lose the screws).

Lift the battery out of the phone by using the small cut-out on the top edge.

Inserting the battery

Replace the battery so that the metal contacts on the short edge meet the metal contacts within the battery compartment. If the phone is the correct way around, these should be in the bottom right hand corner. Slide the battery in at an angle and place into the battery compartment.

Replace the battery cover by slotting in the top edge first, and then placing down onto the battery compartment. Turn the screws clockwise to tighten and secure the battery cover.

Installing the SIM card

Before inserting the SIM card make sure that the phone is switched off. The charger should be disconnected. To install the SIM card, you will need to remove the battery.

Within the battery compartment there are two SIM card trays; these are used if you have two SIM cards for two different mobile networks.

If you have just a standard single SIM card, place this into the SIM1 tray, which is the one on the right hand side. Slide your SIM card in from the top, with the metal contacts facing down and the corner with the cut-out in the top left position.

Installing a MicroSD card

You can use a MicroSD card up to 4GB with the Maxcom MM910. Locate the MicroSD card slot which is above the SIM1 SIM card tray.

The MicroSD card holder has a small metal clip which holds the card in place. To release this, place your nail on the left hand edge and push towards the right. The metal clip should click and release. Lift the clip upwards and insert your MicroSD card so that the metal contacts are pointing down. Close the clip and slide it to the left to click back into place.

Note: Exercise caution while using the memory card, particularly when inserting and removing it. Some memory cards must first be formatted with the use of a computer.

Regularly prepare backups of the information saved on cards used in other devices, if you use card of SD type. Incorrect use may cause the damage or the loss of cards content.

Using the product

Charging the battery

Important note: Only use the battery supplied. Using other batteries may cause damage of the phone and the loss of warranty. Do not connect the charger when the battery cover is removed.

Plug the phone charger to the wall socket.

Locate the USB socket which is on the right hand edge of the phone, towards the top.

The USB socket is protected by a rubber cover. To remove this, locate the small cut-out which is at the top edge, use your fingernail to lift up.

Plug the micro USB into the USB socket. Bars of battery charging on the display will appear and disappear while charging the battery.

When the battery is completely charged, disconnect the charger from the wall socket and then the cable from the phone.

When the battery is fully charged, the display will show the following message “Charging completed”, and the battery symbol will no longer pulsate.

Notes on battery charging

Before charging the battery, make sure that the battery is correctly installed.

During battery charging do not remove the battery as it may cause the phone damage.

If the voltage of the battery is too low to make the phone operate correctly, the display will show the message that the phone will be automatically switched off and then the phone will turn off.

If the battery is completely discharged (for example, because of the torch being switched on), after connecting the charger, wait a few a minutes before the charging symbol appears.

Low battery alarm

The phone will generate a sound signal (if warning sounds are activated in profiles) together with the following message: “Battery discharged” when the battery level is too low. The display will show an empty battery. Charge the battery when this message appears.
