THE LINKS, INCORPORATED: Ms. Anne Turner Herriott, a member of Greater Miami (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was elected as the organization’s 19th Southern Area Director on May 16, 2015 in Historic Birmingham, Alabama. Ms. Herriott has served The Links, Incorporated with distinction and honor in several capacities on both the Area and National levels. She has served as SouthernArea Secretary, Southern Area Webinar Facilitator, Constant Contact Area Communications Facilitator, Southern Area Conference Credentials Committee Chair, Southern Area Conference Evaluation Committee Chair, and Southern Area TechnologyCommittee Chair. Ms. Herriott’s service on the National level includes National Committee of Secretaries, National Governance Committee and National Technology Committee. Ms. Herriott has also served as an award-winning Program Chair and Technology Chair for the Greater Miami (FL) Chapter.
EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL: Ms. Herriott received her Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee State University, Nashville, TN and is a Graduate Fellow of the Institute of Court Management (Court Executive Development Program), Denver, CO. Advanced education includes Continuing Education Court Management Professional Development, Florida Institute of Government; Academy for Strategic Management, Florida International University; and St. Thomas University, Miami, FL. She is a retired Chief Deputy Court Administrator of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.
ADDITIONAL LEADERSHIP ROLES: Ms. Herriott is a past President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Dade County Alumnae Chapter; founding President of DeltaCare, Inc. (a 501(c)(3) program supporting educational initiatives for women of color to impede the progression of HIV/AIDS); and past Co-Chair of the Florida Statewide Human Rights Advocacy Commission (Gubernatorial Appointment).
HONORS/AWARDS/RECOGNITION: Ms. Herriott has been featured in numerous publications for radical court improvement projects as “innovative leader” in the courts. She was Florida Gubernatorial Appointee to the Human Rights Advocacy Task Force; received City of Miami Commission on Status of Women: ‘96 Women’s Hall of Fame Award; featured as a Trailblazer during the City of Miami Centennial Celebration (Miami Herald); featured “In the Company of Women” by Miami-Dade County; featured for Leadership in Government as Chief Deputy Court Administrator for Court Operations (Miami Herald, Florida Law Review publications); featured in Beyond Julia's Daughters, recognizing native Miamian Women in Miami-Dade County History, publication: Herstory; and numerous other awards and recognitions.
PERSONAL: Ms. Herriott is a faithful member of Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, FL. She enjoys family time, card-crafting, shopping and finding tech solutions. She is the proud mother of heir-o-link William Herriott and four granddaughters all of Atlanta, Georgia.
