RAPIDPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
For teams of 4
Saturday September 26th, 2009 at
Syston & District Social Club,
High St, Syston LE7 2EH
A 5 round swiss played at the rate of all moves in 20 minutes. The same players will be used in the same board order in all rounds on the day.
Prizes
For highest score:
1st: £80, 2nd: £40, 3rd: free entry for next year
For highest score after handicap applied:
1st: £80, 2nd: £40, 3rd: free entry for next year
NO TEAM CAN WIN TWO PRIZES.
The grades used will be the Rapidplay grade as in the ECF 2009 grading lists, failing that the standard play grade quoted by the ECF. Local grades will not be used. Any player who is ungraded will be allocated a grade by the arbiter in charge of the event. Teams shall play in grading order unless otherwise agreed with the arbiter in charge of the event in advance.
Round One will commence at 1.00 and the prize giving will be at 6.00 p.m.
In the event of a tie, cash prizes will be shared. The team with the lowest average grading will win the handicap trophy.
Please advise if any player has any problems which might affect their participation in this event.
DIRECTIONS:
Syston & District Social Club is a large brick building situated opposite a thatched cottage where the High St is at its narrowest. There is car parking available on the Green and on Chapel St., within 2 minutes walk.
The venue is 10 minutes walk from Syston Railway Station. Detailed directions can be supplied on request.
Refreshments are available from the bar at the venue inc tea and coffee at reasonable prices throughout the day.
The controller’s mobile phone will be switched on until all have arrived.
