Grant Development Worksheet
This worksheet is to be completed by faculty and staff prior to seeking grant fundingfrom corporations, foundations, government agencies, or any external entities. This worksheet is intended to provide university administrators with the information necessary and sufficient to determine whether or not the proposed project is aligned with university goals and values, benefits the university, and is worthy of pursuit. The required approval signatures provide the necessary permission to the project director to move forward with preparing the grant proposal.
The project director must complete Sections 1-2 of this worksheet electronically,and then contact Rebecca Van Horn, Assistant Director, OSPR, to make an appointment for review of the worksheet and completion of Section 3.Following the completion of Section 3, the project director will sign the worksheet in Section 4 and the OSPR will obtain the remaining signatures and notify the project director when the form is complete. The Office of Sponsored Programs & Research (OSPR) will then notify all persons when permission to apply has been granted, as explained in Section 5.
The project director must then submit the proposal itself, together with the Grant Submission Cover Sheet, to the OSPR no later than 10 business days prior to the published submission deadline for the grant proposal.
