I will abide by all school rules and policies including those regarding the use of drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Beta Club requires dedication, responsibility, and some weekend and after school time.

I understand that I must participate in at least 2 Beta sponsored community service activities per semester. I also understand that I must attend all mandatory meetings and need to earn at least 4 Beta service points by the end of the first semester and 12 by the end of the year to remain a member in good standing.

NFHS BETA CLUB

Requirements:

  • All members, including returning, must attend the mandatory Induction Ceremony on September 4th from 5:00 – 6:00 in the cafeteria. Members must wear dress clothes – no jeans, shorts, etc. will be allowed.
  • Members must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA. Those dropping below 3.5 are subject to probation or dismissal from the club.(See Mrs. Manning if you have any concerns.)
  • Members are expected to exhibit good character and leadership at all times.
  • Members must participate in at least 2 different Beta sponsored community service activities per year for a total of 12 Beta service points. (You must have at least 4 points by the end of 1st semester to continue an active Beta Club membership.) Failure to do so will result in dismissal from Beta Club.
  • Membership information, policies, and meetings will ONLY be discussed with the member. Parents should not email for information or make excuses for your absence, etc. You are the Beta Club member and are required to communicate your questions and concerns directly to the Advisor or the club secretary. Failure to communicate directly may result in dismissal from Beta Club.
  • Annual membership dues are $25. National Beta dues are $15. The additional $10 is fort-shirts and other club expenses.
  • When members sign-up for service opportunities they will be held accountable.
  • Members must sign-in at all meetings and events to receive points. Sign in only for yourself.
  • Seniors: graduation cords are earned through community service and leadership, NOT given.
