Dear GTT 1 Applicant,
Gateway To Technology 1 (GTT 1) is a middle school/junior highcourse designed to provide an introduction to the world of engineering through the use of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Students receive career readiness and real world, hands-on learning experiences through the use of CAD (Computer Aided Design) software, robotics, and other vital introductory engineering skills.Critical thinking and problem solving skills are essential as students create ideas in a collaborative and cooperative way.
In order to be eligible for GTT1, students must have:
- Earned a minimum of BASICon both science and mathsections on the most recent standardized test
- Must complete and return this application by the deadline, including signatures
- Must complete the student section of the teacher input forms and give a copy to all your current core content teachers (math, ELA, science, social studies), one form per teacher

- Should have your name on this cover sheet only. Do NOT put your name on the other pages.

- Should be returned to Tchefuncte Middle School or Lake Harbor Middle School NO LATER THAN Friday, April 19, 2013

All applications will be evaluated by MJH personnel. Once a student is enrolled in this class, he or she is expected to remain in the class for the entire year.
