French III Scope and Sequence
Week 1 / do introductory activities, sing song to –er verb conjugation, review la francophonie (x-xv), review –erand–ir verbs (p. 4), use the pronoun “on”, conjugate –re verbs/sing song of verb endings (p. 4) (vendreand attendrein particular), draw a graphic organizer of French verbs
Week 2 / take a quiz on conjugating –er, -ir, and –re verbs, take the pre-test, study la francophonie (Canada, Morocco, Haiti, and Senegal in particular),review the course syllabus and behavioral expectations
Week 3 / take a test on all regular verbs and la francophonie (test 1), fill out authentic travel documents, conjugate –er verbs with spelling changes (p. 5) (boot verbs),review classroom objects and expressions (xxviii-xxix)
Week 4 / take a test on classroom objects and expressions (test 2), use numbers to 1,000,000 in simple contexts (e.g. asking and telling the price of an object), play a variety of Lotto
Week 5 / become familiar with (e)textbook, reviewavoir and expressions with avoir(p. 2), review être and adjectives (pp. 2-3), use adjectives to describe one’s personality and appearance (group A and B adjectives)
Week 6 / identify family members, complete a choice board on family and adjectives, review house (pp. 18-19), describe events from the past (p. 10) (passécomposé, avoir as helping verb, regular past participles)
