3. Elizabeth (Aunt Lizzie) She marries James Wren. They had 8 boys and 2 girls who
who live to be adults: Jim, Roy, Bob, Cliff, Jack, Dick, Pat, Marge, Bea, Tom.
Lizzie lived at Grangeville, Idaho.
4 Elmer Augustus (Gus) born June 5, 1889, dies Oct. 24, 1955. Gus marries Emma
Jacksha in 1910. Gus was Moscow Idaho's Street Commissioner for 20 years.
Children are: Elvina of Spokane, Washington; Katherine of Kennewich, Washington,
and Donald Birchmier of Moscow, Idaho.
5 Ada Married Tom Graney. Ada dies of stomach cancer
Children are Hazel (Glascok), Merle (Mann), and Helen in Idaho
6 Homer (1898 to early 1970's) Married Cora Thorne and lived in Huntington Oregon
Children are Leo, Glen Jim and Bethel
One source (suspect) says: "Bob and Ethal (Portland oregon)"
7 Charity January 20, 1901 to March 10, 1901. She is buried at cemetery in Troy, Iowa
near grandparents and Lewis.
Additional Information:
Augustus farmed and ran a brick kiln northwest of Troy, Iowa.
Gus and Mary moved to Idaho in 1905 because Gus wanted his family to live in a
Catholic community. They lived at Colton Washington for a brief time in the Morn Creek
neighborhood, then at Moscow, Idaho - Palouce area - for several years. They finally
settled at Huntington, Oregon where Gus died. Gus was hard of hearing and was killed by a
train as he was walking along the railroad tracks.
