March 26, 2009: Tucson, AZ – 93.7 KRQ is proud to have partnered up with the Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA) to present the Last Smash Platinum Bash concert on Wednesday, April 29th at Arizona Stadium. This show marks the first major Arizona stadium concert show in over thirty-two years (32) dating back to 1977, where Fleetwood Mac performed in Tucson.
The concert features various internationally known recording artists from different genres to create a truly “One Night Only” experience for all those in attendance. Legendary, multi-platinum, king of rap, Jay-Z, will headline the concert and marks one of the first ever college stops in his musical career as well as his only American concert of 2009 to date. Co-headlining will be none other than Grammy Award winning artist, Kelly Clarkson. The San Francisco based alternative rock band, Third Eye Blind, and Australian twin sisters; The Veronicas will perform their pop-rock based music, which will leave Tucson absolutely buzzing with excitement!
Tickets will go on sale for UA students Friday, March 27th at 9am on asua.arizona.edu. Tickets will go on sale to the public at 12pm on Friday, March 27th at asua.arizona.edu. Tickets range from $25.95 - $150.95 with a few exclusive $200.00 “EXTREME BASH” tickets available for purchase. “EXTREME BASH” seats are the best seats in the house.
