Yearbooks:Yearbook for sale $20, the forms will be at main office. Please turn your orders in at the main office.
Football:There is time to sign up for football. Please see Mr. White today.
6th Grade students: If you have not turned in your school physical and immunizations to the Health office, please remind your parents this is a requirement for 6th grade and turn into the Health Office ASAP.
Any student who wants to attend the West Aurora football game this Friday must bring their student ID. Middle school students have their own section at the South End of the school, that is the end closest to the high school.Student admission for football games is $3 with an ID. If students do not provide a current school ID they will be charged $5.
Drama: Drama Club Meeting in the Cafetorium, Friday September 1st,3:45-5:30pm. All are welcomed and encouraged. Come learn about your 2017-18 theatre season, meet some new friends, play games, and more. Mr. Nick is very excited to kick off the biggest theatre season Herget Middle School has ever seen.
Herget t-shirts will be on sale during lunch periods only from August 29th - September 1st outside of the cafeteria. Please eat your lunch first.
Choir: If you forgot or just missed the first meeting last week… You can still join Early Morning Choir. This group is open to all students. Just come this Friday, September 1st, at 7:30AM. CrossCountry: Herget Cross Country team picked up right where they left off last season with a convincing win over west side rivals Jefferson, Washington, and Jewel. In the girls race the top 9 finishers were from Herget. In the boys race 8 of the top 10 were from Herget. Top finishers were: Girls—Megan Sporny Meet Champion, Devon Tomas 2nd, Jenna Stuck 3rd, Olivia Kunio 4th, Tori Lopez 5th, Ella Henry 6th, Kate Oschenschlager 7th, Makenzy Hobson 8th, Karina Juarez 9th. Boys—Nate Hodge 2nd, Ryan Watts 3rd, Jay Jenkins 4th, Aiden Hobson 5th, Brandon Ngosong 7th, TY Rogers 8th, Aryan 9th, Nate Lindstrom 10th. The Huskies run next at home on Thursday.
There are now gel pens and mechanical pencils for sale in the pencil machine next to the main office. Cost for each of the machines is $.50 per item.
