Warwickshire Championships and Age Groups 3rd, 10th, 17th March 2012

It is important that your Officials, Coaches, Competitors and Parents are aware of the following:

  1. COMPETITORS CARDS.

All cards are to be placed in the boxes provided. These boxes will be closed 45 minutes before the start of the session, 8.15am and 1.15pm on all sessions. Late cards will only be accepted under the ASA Guidelines for Competitions. Please note session times on front of the cards. If a swimmer is going to be late they must inform their Club Coach / Team Manager ( CC/TM ) who will be able to obtain a duplicate card from the promoter and submit it on the swimmers behalf before the final closing time.

2.WARM-UP

This will be 40 minutes before the start of each session 8.10am and 1.30pm; there will be sprint lanes. Swimmers are only allowed to warm-up under the control of the CC/TM. Marshall’s assisted by the CC/TM from each club will control the warm-up. Clubs are to accept full responsibility for their swimmers whilst on the poolside, in the changing rooms and during warm-up.

3.DIVING INTO SHALLOW WATER

IMPORTANT THE COVENTRY POOL IS SHALLOW AT BOTH ENDS ( 1.0m )

All swimmers must be capable of diving into shallow water as specified by the ASA Competitive Start Award. Clubs and CC/TM are to take responsibility for this. During warm-up diving is only allowed in the Sprint and Start Lanes. Over the Top Starts and Side by Side for Backstroke will take place for all events except for Finals.

4.LANE ROTATION

During warm-up lane rotation will apply CC/TM’s are to ensure that the following is adhered to by their swimmers.

Odd numbered lanes 1,3,5,7 will swim CLOCKWISE.

Even numbered lanes 2,4,6,8 will swim ANTI-CLOCKWISE.

5.RELAY TEAM SHEETS

These are to be collected and returned to the Promoter before the start of the session, names, dates of birth and registration numbers are to completed.

6.ADMISSION.

The admission to the spectator area will be as follows:

£5.00 per Adult All Day Ticket£3.00 per Adult per Session

£1.00 per programmeNo Charge for Children Under 16

7.RESULTS SHEETS.

Those holding Coaches passes can collect their results sheets from the Public Relations Table by showing their pass and signing the day sheet.

8.FINALS

All events resulting in straight finals will be swum in their position for that final.

9.PRESENTATIONS

These will take place during and at the end of each session. The Overall Bagcat Categories Winners will be presented at the end of the 6th session on 17th March 2012.

10.DIVING PIT.

This will be available for swim down and warm-up. Any abuse of this or the Official in charge of the Diving Pit will result in the facility being withdrawn.

11.OFFICIALS

Mentoring: Unfortunately it is not possible this year to accommodate any mentoring sessions. Please do not send officials to the pool for mentoring.
