Meeting called to order @ 6:35pm Room 1201 at FHS.

  1. Minutes: Heather moved to accept the November2016 meeting minutes. Larry seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken, the motion carried.
  2. President Report:
  1. Banquet 12-18-2016 – 108 people signed up for banquet. Arrive at 4:30pm to prep for dinner. Ole Piper pastas & salad will be served.

Media Guide– They would like to continue to business with us. Looking into BlackFire Creative to do the next years media guide, will receive 100% back to the football program.

Girls Swim & Dive and Track & Field –Eddie Bray- would like to do events with football

Expo –Chris is looking into purchasing small footballs to hand out with a Tiger paw & website info.

  1. Vice President Report:
  1. Lawn mower - Winner will be drawn at the banquet 12-18-2016.
  2. Looking into a smaller ticket item to raffle off next year. Possibly a Big Green Egg- will talk to Pellicci’s
  1. Treasurer’s Report:
  1. John needs to get another signer on the Youth account.
  1. Secretary’s Report:Minutes were approved
  2. Website Report:
  1. Heather would like to update our website. Cost is $250.00 to ad Dibs or $350.00 to add Dibs & upgrade. Larry moved to approve $350.00 to add Dibs and upgrade the site. Carmen 2nd. A voice vote was taken, motion carried.
  1. Communications Report:
  1. Heather has access to all photos from Patti Nelson.
  2. Heather would like a communications budget.
  3. Facebook – Heather would like to “Boost” our Facebook page. Cost is $5 - $20.
  1. Members At Large:
  1. Larry - Fundraising coordinator
  1. Had a meeting with Bill about ideas for fundraising. Also looking into pulling more members in to do fundraising.
  2. Recruitment night – We will have all the parents in the room. Best time to get memberships.
  3. Larry would like to have a Parent Night Out and couple that with a Bags tournament.
  1. X. Coach Fischer’s Report:
  1. This was a big year for our program. Lots of awards given to our players
  2. Lettering process – player will help with youth program to earn letter.
  3. Helmet – changing to flat black helmets. School budget will go towards 36 new helmets, 18 shoulder pads and footballs. Idea - Players will get a Tiger stripe on their helmet for volunteer hours.
  4. 2017 Season – approximately 130 -140 players returning
  5. Off Season – Continue teaching/training coaches. Offense and 9th grade are going to Dallas. Defense may attend a college training in Spring 2017.
  1. Membership/Booster Fees: -
  1. Need to find a way to get more members signed up.
  2. Discussed giving a discount on apparel and practice packs to members
  1. Apparel:
  1. Issues with uniforms, apparel and timely shipping

XIII. Youth Program (grades 3-8):

  1. Rule book is done and will be sent to Coach Fischer to approve and have posted to the website.
  2. Youth annual meeting is scheduled for 1-16-2017.
  3. Youth will also have a table at the Farmington Expo 1-28-2017.
  4. Volunteer checks will not be cashed until after the basketball tournament in early May.

A. Would like to see a new / different set up. To be discussed next summer.

  1. Fundraising: We need to form committees to take on fundraising activities
  2. News & Game Highlights – contact person
  3. Class Representatives – Need to set up a meeting to keep in contact with alumni.
