  1. Review of 2005 and 2006 sanctioned events

Event details will be provided to Delegates to review at the Plenary. Stella will make the presentation.

  1. Sanction applications for 2005 to 2009

a) Review applications and recommendations

b) Review Event Advisors assignments and candidates

  1. Final review of “Protocol for FAI and CIA Sanctioned Events” document.

a) Motion for the Plenary to adopt the protocol document.

a)Motion for the Plenary to adopt the sanction document changes.

  1. Discussion of impact of European Union minimum insurance limits on events.

Motions for 2005 Plenary

1. EPAS Motion #1

The CIA Plenary adopt the Protocol for FAI and CIA Sanctioned Events document as an Advisory Document.

Amendment:5.4.2.h

The national anthems of the top three finishers will be played.

2. EPAS Motion #2

The CIA documents called “FAI First Category Event Sanction Procedures” and “CIA Sporting Event Sanction Procedures” be amended to include the revised S1 Bidding Process for Cat 1 Events. This includes a bidding timetable and checklist:

a) World or Continental Regional Championship

Reference Sporting Code Section 1 (5.3.4.1) for details required.

Step 1 - Letter of Intent to bid to CIA

- No more than 6 years prior to year of event

Step 2 - Two (2) years before the year scheduled for the event

- Submit complete bid files and signed Organizers Agreement

- Bids shall be considered by this CIA Plenary meeting

(Note: documents should reach the CIA 60 days before the CIA meeting date)

b) Other First Category Sporting Events

Reference Sporting Code Section 1 (5.3.4.2) for details needed

Step 1 - Complete bid file and signed Organizers Agreement must reach the CIA 60

days before the CIA meeting date.
