EDMONTON FALL CLASSIC
All Ages Short Track Ability Meet &
Alberta Open T2T Single Distance Championship
November 10-12, 2017
Location: Clareview Recreation Center Arena “A”, 3804 139 Ave NW, Edmonton AB
Eligible Skaters: Any Speed Skate Canada (SSC) registered skater in the Active Start, FUNdamentals, L2T, and T2T (11-14 females, 12-15 males) on 100m track;
Open Class on 111m track (Juniors, Seniors, Masters, Special Olympics)
FUNd & L2T ranked on 200m times; T2T ranked on each of the distances times;
Open Class ranked on 500m times
L2T skaters who request to move up must meet 1 of the following time standards:
400m 0:48.00 or 1500m 3:20.00 or 3000m 6:50.00
Sanction: AASSA Sanctioned
What: T2T Single Distance – Ability Divisions – separate genders including L2T that meet time requirements
Events: 200m, 400m, 1500m, 3000m points, relay (team members determined by officials and seeded on 400m time)
Open/L2T/FUNd/Active Start/Special Olympics– Mixed Gender Ability Divisions
Distances/ Events will be determined based on the number and ability of registrants.
Special O event is a qualifier for the 2019 Canada Winter Games.
Time: Friday afternoon and evening T2T and Open
Saturday and Sunday morning L2T and Special Olympics
Saturday and Sunday afternoon T2T and Open
Preliminary schedule:
Coaches meeting: 1:00pm on Friday Nov 10th; will be held other days only if needed
T2T and Open Class (NOTE: schedule may adjust depending on final numbers):
· Friday warm-up 1:30pm, racing ends 7:00pm after relays
· Saturday warm-up 1:00pm, racing ends approx. 7:30pm
· Sunday warm-up 12:00pm, racing ends approx. 5pm
L2T and SpO (NOTE: schedule may adjust depending on final numbers):
· Saturday warm-up 7:30am, racing ends 1:00pm
· Sunday warm-up 7:30am, racing ends 11:30am
Final schedule will be sent to coaches.
Entry Fees: $75 T2T and Open
$60 L2T and Special Olympics
$50 for Active Start (5yr and younger),
Please make cheques payable to: Edmonton Speed Skating Association
(one cheque per club).

6:30 AM Saturday in Arena Lobby.

In consideration of your accepting this entry, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against Speed Skating Canada and the Alberta Amateur Speed Skating Association, for any injuries suffered by me at said contest to be held November 10-12, 2017 at the Clareview Arenas in Edmonton, Alberta.
