Christ is a King on the model of the Homeric kings who called themselves “shepherds of the people”. As a royal shepherd he is leading us to the Kingdom of his Father.

·  Offertory Collections last weekend amounted to €337.34

Envelope Collections last weekend amounted to €698.80

·  The Eucharistic Congress Bell is making a journey around all the Parish’s of the Diocese of Kerry at this time. It is hoped that it will arrive in Portmagee Church on Tues evening the 22nd at 5.30pm. Then it will make its way to the Glen Church for 6.15 & arriving in Dun Geagan for 7pm mass. At each church there will be a short prayer service marking the Bells arrival. It is hoped that the eldest adult & the youngest school going child in each area would be present to ring the Bell.

·  Re: New Ministers of the Eucharist – Meetings will be held on Tues 22nd Nov at 8pm in St Michaels Church Dun Geagan & on Mon 28th Nov at 8pm in St Patricks Church Portmagee. I would ask those who have been invited & those who wish to become Eucharistic Ministers to please attend one of the above meetings.

·  Our November Mass in Portmagee on next Fri 25th Nov will be offered for those who died in the past twelve months. Anyone who would like to include family who died outside the parish please hand in their names during the week.

·  A night for parents of children celebrating Confirmation, will take place in the Glen Day Care Centre on Mon 21st Nov at 8pm.

·  Whist Drive will take place in Portmagee Community Centre on Mon 21st @9pm.

·  A service of carols and readings celebrating the Christmas Spirit of peace & goodwill to all, will be held in St Michael’s Church Dun Geagan on Friday 9th December at 8pm.

·  Thank You – The Sisters of the Medical Missionaries of Mary thank you for your generous contribution last weekend which totalled €1,148. Your support shows God’s love to families in great need and will help to save lives.

·  South West Family Resource Centre would like to invite you to attend the official opening of their new offices at 18 Main St, Cahiricveen opposite the Credit Union on Friday 25th Nov between 12 noon - 3pm. We are delighted to welcome Rosaleen & Mick O Connell to cut the ribbon and celebrate with us.

·  The Irish Blood Transfusion Service would like to say a special Thank You to the 95 donors who attended the Cahirciveen clinic on Wed the 2nd Nov.
