SUMMER Edition

Practice News

We have said goodbye to one of our Practice Nurses, Jo Johnson since the last edition. We say hello to our new Practice Nurse, Mary Riddings and we all hope she is settling in.

Missed appointments are still affecting our practice; it is such a waste of doctor’s time and so irritating when we know we could have filled that appointment. Recurrent offenders will not be able to book advance scheduled appointments but be asked to ring in a morning and be offered a time to see the doctor.

You will now be called to see the doctor on the Information Screen in the waiting room. There will be a short bleep and then your details will show on the screen so keep an eye out for your name. Other important messages are also shown

The Easter Tombola raised £86.50 and is being sent to The British Heart Foundation.

We will be holding a Summer Raffle so keep a look out for tickets’ in reception.

Essential Staff Training

The surgery will be closed on the following Wednesday afternoons 12th July, 13th Sept, 11th Oct and 8th Nov. If you need a doctor urgently please ring 111

Patient Participation Group

If you would like to help shape your GP service and represent our patients please join our group. Ring 0115 932 2933 for information and details of the next meeting

Book Corner

Don’t forget to check out the book corner in the waiting room. Here you can pick up a good novel or non-fiction for a donation. If you have any books in a clean condition please bring them to reception. We have now purchased a baby oximeter. So keep on reading!

The New League of Friends shop is now open. They sell newspapers, magazines, confectionary, greetings cards and offer a range of snacks and ‘meal deals’. If you are at the hospital pop in and have a browse.
There is now a self-check in screen at main reception for physiotherapy and podiatry. It is very easy to use and similar to the one in our reception.
