The Japanese Forest Society, founded in 1914, is one of the Japan’s largest academic societies that aim to advance forest science through support of its research and communication. There are now approximately 2,700 members in our society. Membership in our society is open to anyone who is interested in forest science. Personal memberships provide online access to all the JFS journals including:

- Journal of Forest Research (bimonthly, in English)

- Journal of the Japanese Forest Society

(bimonthly, in Japanese with English abstract)

- Forest Science (Shinrin Kagaku)

(three times a year, in Japanese)

Individual: JPY 10,000

Student: JPY 15,000

(Both personal memberships include in-print subscriptions to either J For Res or J Jpn For Soc; an additional JPY 2,000 or 1,500 covers the annual cost of subscriptions for the other journal or Forest Science, respectively )
