We have immediate openings for a PROJECT MANAGER & ESTIMATOR for an exciting downtown construction project.
Responsible for overseeing assigned project from time of tendering through project construction completion, specific operational roles & responsibilities will include:
· Attend appropriate tender meetings to ensure bidding projects. Ensure projects constraints are identified prior to tender submission and accounted for as necessary
· Submit assigned tenders, obtain tender results and perform post tender analysis based on results for future pricing consideration
· Organize several projects and tenders and multitask as required to complete tasks in a timely manner and meet deadlines
· Responsible for daily costs of crews and communicating with Site Supervisors to discuss variances
· Perform regular site visits to review project status and report status to Operations Manager for accurate scheduling
· Communicate daily with necessary parties on project status and be the first solution to resolve project issues as they arise
· Responsible for overall billing of assigned projects
· Follow up on submitted progress claims and force accounts with Engineers and Developers to ensure approval of submitted invoices is granted
· Responsible for identifying force accounts on supplier and subcontractor invoices
· Track change orders through approvals
· Monitor costs of projects and recommending new methodologies if expected project productivity is not met
· Review projects upon project completion and identify profitability items for future project estimation
· Complete post mortem report and review with Operations Manager and Field Superintendent
The successful candidate will have previous experience in Project Management, Planning or Estimating required accompanied with the ability to Communicate Effectively, Foster Teamwork, Positively Lead, Plan Ahead and Solve Problems.
