(For Teacher Reference)

Bird / Helper
I glide through the sky with the wind wrapped around my wings.
The breeze feels so peaceful and free.
Do you see that bird, circling the sky? On the lookout for food with its keen eye.
There I see my prey waiting just for me. I dive and dart and dash for a treat.
I speed past buildings with ease. Flying past windows, easy as can be.
That bird. Flying high in the sky, so close to the buildings, OH MY!
Bird / Helper
Will it miss those windows? I’m unsure!
I’ll miss those windows ... for sure!
Oh no! CRASH! / Oh no! CRASH!
Freefalling to the ground, I’m alarmed! I’m uncertain if I’ll land unharmed.
It’s for certain that she’ll land with a loud, loud sound upon the hard and unwelcoming ground.
Will I be okay? / Will she be okay?
I can’t move my wing. Will I ever again fly Amongst the towering clouds so high?
Is it injured? / Is it injured?
Bird / Helper
I need help. / I can help.
I must handle my friend with care.
I must trust my helper to help.
My wing will heal; it will be just fine.
Her wing will heal; it will just take time.
I will fly again, / She will fly again,
Peaceful and free. / Peaceful and free.
