What are your experiences of acquiring investment (from central/local government, other funders and sponsors) for events. What needs to change? This will be a “warts-and-all” discussion aimed at setting a foundation for future action.
Two event directors will share their warts-and-all experiences of securing event investment together with their recommendations of what needs to change. This will be followed by a facilitated opportunity for all delegates to contribute to.

Health and Safety compliance is continuing to evolve. How does/can the events industry deal with the requirements and changes?
In this session we will receive:
  • An overview/advice on the upcoming changes in the Health and Safety Act and the importance of being compliant from Anna Sage, Senior Business Advisor, Sport NZ.
Insightsand templates from the NZRU and NZ Trail Runs Ltd on the processes they have used to identify and deal with event Health and Safety risk management generally and their views on how the new Health and Safety regulations will impact them.
