Total Power is currently seeking a Credit & Collections Analyst for their Mississauga location.
The Credit & CollectionsAnalyst is responsible for the collection of customer invoices and reconciliation of customer concerns. This position involves a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
Responsibilitieswill include, but are not limited to:
- Creating credit applications, performing credit references and evaluations, running credit reports and discussing with Controller any accounts with questionable credit scores
- Set up of all customer accounts in the computer system with tax status and credit levels.
- Monitor all account credit limits and aging of receivables, communicate to the necessary parties when an account is over its limit.
- Perform collection procedures on all invoices over 30 days old. Identify problem accounts - make prompt decisions for collection. i.e. Collections, Construction Liens, Law suits.
- Monitor volume of credit checks used on line with credit reporting agency to maximize value, minimize costs.
- Identify and facilitate the resolution of all customer disputes on a timely basis.
- Work with the Controller to establish policies, practices and systems to improve the credit and collection function.
Education and other Requirements
- 5-7 years credit collections experience with strong negotiating skills
- Formal courses in accountingand finance.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and understanding of computerized accounting systems.
- Strong problem solving skills with good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government in Ontario, be available for work.
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Overtime as required.
