He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was very active in the Vietnam Veterans Association (VVA) in Denton and took pride in welcoming returning troops home at DFW Airport.
He owned and operated Davis Brothers Construction after his father, Tom W Davis, retired, until the 1990s and later worked for other local construction companies. Tommy loved spending time at the lake, fishing, and aggravating anyone who would take it! He traveled with Nancy often to visit family, friends and fun places. He also loved spending time with family and was so proud of his daughters and their families. He was known to brag about his grandchildren on occasion - and those grandchildren loved their Poppy so much. He could usually be found in the crowd at his granddaughter’s activities. At first look, he was a big man, but was so caring and open and always had a way to make people around him smile. He never met a stranger and would start up a conversation with anyone. He was such a special man who was loved by so many relatives and friends.
