Description:

You are required to read a short story in addition to the required class readings. The story can be selected from your text or it can be a short story from another source. If you choose to select a story outside of your text, it must be approved by the teacher. You cannot choose a story that we have read in class!

Assignment:

Your mission is to create an exciting story-talk, one which will persuade your fellow students interested in the story you recommend. A story-talk is a 3-5 minute talk about a short story you want to motivate others to read. In addition, you must have a written outline to turn in (see below). You might also choose to have a power point or any other visual to accompany and embellish your presentation. Points will be added to the projects that go above and beyond a basic oral presentation. See pages 5-8 for details.
