Stage 2 – Assessment Evidence
Performance Task: Summary in GRASPS form
Goal: Categorize software as either system or application, and identify various types of programs for application software.
Role: You are the technology coordinator for a school.
Audience: Administrators, teachers, and staff within a school.
Situation: As the technology coordinator for a school district, you have been asked to present information regarding the different types of software and the purpose of various programs. You will create a multimedia presentation that will be presented to the class.
Performance: Multimedia presentation will include:
·  Purpose of system vs. application software
·  Advantages/benefits of software
·  Types of programs for application software
·  Examples of each program
Key Criteria:
Rubric with the following criteria for presentation:
·  Includes all required information
·  Includes design or theme
·  Includes animation
·  Includes clipart, graphics, etc.
·  Professional and visually appealing
Other Evidence
·  Graphic organizer for students to identify different types of application software programs
·  Outline that students complete during lecture
·  Vocabulary quiz
·  Group discussions about the advantages of and uses for software
·  Check for understanding with guided questions and answers
